Welcome to Holy Family’s Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) Program! We are excited that you have joined us here to explore the various aspects of our faith formation!
Our Religious Education Program at Holy Family Parish is for students in ages 3 through 8th grade and is intended to help Parents to hand on the Deposit of Catholic Faith to their Children, so that they may come to understand the richness of the Catholic faith, and come to deeper communion with Christ. This program educates the whole person, not only intellectual knowledge but also emotional, and the meaning of their existence. The program also prepares children and the youth for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a religious education curriculum for children that builds upon a child's natural sense of wonder and their need to learn through rich sensory experiences in order to help the child fall in love with God.
The goal is to help children develop a profoundly personal relationship with God, where the Scripture and Liturgy are at the center of the Catechesis.
The Atrium is a prepared environment where "the Mystery of the Child meets the Mystery of God". Young children have a natural ability to enjoy relationship with God in a deep way. In the Atrium, the children work, pray, sing, contemplate, marvel and celebrate the Mystery of God.
The CCD Program is led by the Director of Religious Education (DRE) Sr. Bozena Tyborowska LSIC, under the direction of Fr. Michael J. Donovan, O. de M. the Holy Family Pastor, and our committed group of Catechists, wonderful people of faith and of prayer.
All children of the Parish, whether home-schooling, attending Catholic or Public schools, are invited to attend our CCD Program. Classes meet September through May on Tuesday evening from 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm.
Classes are also available for high school youth (9 - 12) who are preparing for the Sacraments of First Eucharist and/or Confirmation through the parish’s RCIA Program. Classes meet September through May on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
For young women in high school, the Little Servant Sisters offer a Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary which meets monthly on the First Saturday of the month following morning Mass and confessions, which begins at 9am.
Sodality is a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother. It aims to awaken in young women a love for the Mother of God and through her example and intercession, to lead them to a practical Christian life. For more information, please contact Sr. Bozena 856-874-6096 or email: sr.bozena73@gmail.com
Please remember to keep our CCD Program and our Catechists in your prayers. The religious education of our young people is a community effort.
